Phoenix is proud to host a Carry Forward Virtual 5K on Saturday, July 25 to support wounded warriors and their families at my Wounded Warrior Project. Our virtual 5K is an opportunity to get some exercise, support a great cause, and bring our communities together.
You can run, jog, walk, hop, skip, cartwheel or do anything that makes you smile at your own pace, on your own time and on your own route. There are three special ways to show your support while you complete the Carry Forward 5K:
- Flag – Standard Run/Walk with the option to carry a flag to show
support and patriotism. - Fitness – Bring a weight with you to carry to represent the responsibilities Veterans carry. Examples are Plate carrier vest, Ruck, backpack etc. anything with an extra little weight you feel comfortable to carry forward.
- Fierce – Carry another person to symbolize one warrior carrying another.
No matter which activity you choose, every step you take will empower wounded warriors as they take on their next mission.
