Lily McDowell , PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

My professional philosophy is to always place the patient’s needs first. I take responsibility for scheduling and creating a schedule that best fits each patient. I work hard to advocate for every patient within the healthcare system to ensure that they are given the best all-around care. I continue to educate myself on new topics through evidence-based resources to ensure that my patients are receiving the highest level of care I can possibly provide them.

My patient care philosophy is to create a unique, individualized care plan to fit each patient’s individual experiences and situations to provide the best care as possible. I take the time to practice good listening skills and express empathy to each individual patient interaction. I also believe that the patient plays a significant part in determining their own health decisions and I involve the patient in all decisions regarding their care with physical therapy from scheduling, home exercise program, and the progression of their care.

Lily McDowell joined Phoenix in June of 2021 after graduating from Lebanon Valley College with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her clinicals in college gained her experience in the areas of outpatient therapy, acute care, home health, and outpatient-based pediatrics. Lily enjoys working with patients of all ages in an outpatient setting, but especially enjoys working with the pediatric population through a play-based approach to physical therapy.

Lily resides in Franklin county in the Chambersburg area. She lives with her husband, Chandler, and loves working in the area she grew up in. Outside the office she enjoys reading, sewing, running, hiking, and riding her bike. One of her favorite hobbies is trying local and new coffee and tea shops in her surrounding area and participating in conversations with friends and family that occur during these outings. She enjoys spending time with her family and participating in events in her community.
