Blaire Lauthers, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Blaire is a 2017 graduate of Saint Francis University with her Bachelor of Health Science degree, and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2019. She was also a 3-year member of the Saint Francis University softball team. She has clinical internship experience in adult outpatient and acute care, as well as pediatric PT in outpatient, school-based, and early intervention care. After graduating, she became a part of the Phoenix Physical Therapy team in August of 2019. She currently works primarily in the outpatient clinic where she enjoys helping patients of all ages recover and maximize their functional potential to return to the activities that they love!
Blaire resides in the Path Valley, PA area, with her husband, Dustin, and their black lab, Zeke. When she is not working, she keeps busy helping to run their farm, hunting, gardening, trying new recipes, antique shopping, and spending time anywhere with Dustin, Zeke, and their families and friends!
Blaire’s professional philosophy is to always have an open mind to learning, and to never be afraid to try something new. There are so many different combinations of methods and techniques to achieve a common goal, and it is important to find the path that is the best fit. She feels this is true for both the patient and the physical therapist in this setting.
Her patient care philosophy includes the intention to keep an open and honest relationship with patients, giving them a safe space to voice their concerns and questions. Patients coming to physical therapy are often in various levels of pain or distress, so it is important to make them feel comfortable and build a trustworthy relationship and work together to return them to their desired level of functioning. It is also a goal of Blaire’s to make the patient an active participant in their physical therapy treatment. This allows the patient to give input, ask questions, and contribute to the decision-making process to better understand the purpose of specific treatments, and ultimately perform to their highest functional potential.
