Preventing Injuries Through OSHA First Aid Guidelines:

As an employer, it is important to improve Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable numbers, DART rates, and Workers’ Compensation costs. Phoenix Physical Therapy offers Early Symptom Intervention (ESI) using OSHA First Aid Guidelines to create change in these key statistics, reduce musculoskeletal injuries, and improve the overall work environment and productivity. A proactive approach allows for minor aggravations to be addressed before it turns into a more serious injury.

ESI Programs:

ESI programs are provided by a trained ESI physical therapist or occupational therapist to provide assessment and first aid care following OSHA First Aid Guidelines. It allows for the employer to refer their employees for triage/intervention prior to filing a workers’ compensation claim. An ESI program is an employee-friendly initiative that conveys the message that the company wants to provide professional and convenient services to help alleviate workers’ discomfort.
